INDIA / OFFICIAL ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTORY

Find a district record.

Search the Local Government Directory, then inspect India Post offices and source-reported hospitals mapped to that district. These records describe administrative and service coverage, not crime or safety.

KEEP THE GEOGRAPHY CLEAR

A directory count cannot answer whether a district is safe.

Hospital and postal records may be incomplete or out of date. NCRB city and State/UT figures stay on their own published geographies and are never copied onto these district pages.

Check sources and dates

Understand this page

What the official district directory contains.

This directory connects Local Government Directory district identities with source-reported hospitals and India Post records. It helps you find the correct administrative district and understand the published service records associated with it.

Start with a district and state

Search by district name and use the State or Union Territory filter to separate places with the same name. An LGD code identifies an administrative record; it is not a PIN code or a telephone code.

Open the district record

Each available page separates subdistricts, hospital records, hospital map points, post offices and distinct PIN codes. The counts cover records matched to that district, not every facility that may exist there today.

Check when the source was published

A source date describes the underlying publication. A retrieval date describes when Aamegh obtained it. Retrieving an old hospital directory recently does not confirm that its facilities or addresses are still current.

Questions about this page

Why can the hospital count exceed the map-point count?

Some hospital records do not contain usable source coordinates. A hospital listing and a mapped location are counted separately so missing coordinates are not treated as a missing facility.

Does a PIN code define a district boundary?

No. Postal labels and administrative districts serve different purposes. Aamegh uses reviewed mappings and does not draw a district or neighbourhood boundary from a PIN label.

Where are the district crime statistics?

These pages do not publish district crime figures. City and State/UT statistics remain attached to their original reporting geography on the context map.
