Return to the named source
Open the vacancy on the employer or official service named in the message. A logo, forwarded screenshot or urgent chat message is not proof that the sender owns the opportunity.
- Check the domain and vacancy reference
- Look for the employer through an independent route
- Keep the original message while you verify
Pause when money or secrecy appears
The National Career Service states that its services are free and warns jobseekers not to pay fees to employers. Treat requests for registration, interview, equipment or release fees as a reason to stop and verify.
- Do not transfer money under time pressure
- Do not share an OTP or banking credential
- Use the cybercrime portal or 1930 for cyber financial fraud
Prepare the first visit separately
Confirm the meeting place and person through a known channel. Keep travel timing, a return option and the documents you actually need separate from the recruiter conversation.
- Choose a staffed meeting location where possible
- Tell a trusted person only if you want to
- Leave if the location or request differs materially from what was confirmed
Keep this useful next step.
